Job summary

Rigaku in Albany, NY, seeks a field service engineer to install, service and repair Analytical X-ray Equipment across the United States. You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, install system software, and provide on-site customer support.

Travel to Rigaku facilities internationally may be required for learning new techniques. Requirements include an Associate degree in Electronics Engineering, a valid driver’s license and a valid passport.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent training.
• Valid Driver’s License and Passport.
• Ability to obtain security clearance.
• Previous service experience desired.
• Thin film and metrology experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair Analytical X-ray Equipment—electronic and mechanical issues.
• Install and modify system software for equipment applications.
• Provide customer training on alignment and use of their analytical systems.
• Complete installations of X-ray Generators, Optics, Detectors, and related components.
• Submit weekly service reports and job records in the Rigaku database.
• Maintain and update customer profiles and complete weekly expense reports.
• Travel domestically to service customer locations; occasional international travel may be required.
