Job summary

Rigaku Americas Corp. is seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to service and maintain analytical X-ray equipment from Albany, NY.

The role requires travel across the United States to customer sites, troubleshooting and repairing complex electronic and mechanical systems. Responsibilities include software installation, customer training, and complete installations of X-ray generators, optics, detectors, and associated maintenance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics Engineering (or equivalent training)
• Valid Driver's License
• Valid Passport
• Previous Service Experience would be highly desired
• Ability to obtain security clearance for customers and governmental facilities
• Previous Thin Film and Metrology experience would be an asset
• Must be able to meet minimum qualifications to apply

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain customer analytical X-ray equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electronic and mechanical problems.
• Install and modify system software as needed.
• Provide customer phone assistance for troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Train customers on the alignment and use of their analytical systems.
• Complete installations of X-ray Generators, Optics, Detections Devices and related maintenance/repairs.
• Submit weekly service reports to the service manager.
• Maintain and update Customer Profiles and service records.
• International travel to Rigaku's factories in Japan and other locations may be required.

Responsibilities

• Based in Albany, New York area but may travel to customer locations throughout the United States to service and maintain customer Analytical X-ray Equipment and associated devices.
• Troubleshoot and repair Electronic and Mechanical problems of Analytical X-ray Equipment.
• Install and modify system software as needed for equipment applications
• Customer phone assistance for preliminary troubleshooting and diagnostics
• Perform Customer training on the alignment and use of their Analytical Systems
• Complete installations of X-ray Generators, Optics, Detections Devices and troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of same.
• Complete and submit a weekly report to the service manager regarding customer problems.
• Complete and submit Service Reports using Rigaku service database on all service work performed
• Maintain and update Customer Profiles as changes occur to customer equipment
• Complete and submit weekly expense reports to the service manager
• Ability to work in a clean room environment.
• International travel to Rigaku's factories in Japan and other locations may be required to learn new techniques and service methods associated with Rigaku systems.
