Job summary

Dow has an opportunity for an Associate Analytical Technician in Kankakee, IL. You will support manufacturing by conducting laboratory analyses, preparing samples, maintaining instrumentation, and reporting results to operators and engineers.

You will perform routine lab tasks using SOPs and analytical methods, while complying with EH&S standards and ODMS. This role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and process improvements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• U.S. work authorization required; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Trains to perform routine analyses under supervision until proficient.
• Collects samples according to the Sample Plan.
• Performs basic preventative maintenance of analytical systems.
• Evaluates data validity for routine analyses and takes action.
• Monitors analytical systems and escalates problems as needed.
• Documents, communicates and archives analytical results and data.
• Follows EH&S and ODMS procedures for tasks.
• Suggests improvements to lab processes and tools.
• Escalates non-routine requests for follow-up.
• Performs lab housekeeping and restocking.
• Processes shipping paperwork.
