Job summary

Dow has an opportunity for an Associate Analytical Technician at our Kankakee (IL, USA) site. In this role you will support manufacturing operations by conducting laboratory analyses and reporting results to production personnel, including operators and engineers.

You will prepare samples, perform preventive maintenance of lab instrumentation, and use equipment to acquire data. Preferred candidates have an Associate's degree in chemistry and 2+ years of lab experience, with strong knowledge of

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
• Willingness to work 12-hour, rotating shifts.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• U.S. work authorization without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Trains to perform routine analyses under supervision.
• Collects samples according to the Sample Plan.
• Performs basic preventative maintenance of analytical systems.
• Evaluates data validity for routine analyses and takes action as needed.
• Monitors analytical systems and escalates problems.
• Documents, communicates and archives analytical results and data.
• Follows EH&S and ODMS procedures.
• Suggests improvements to lab processes and tools.
• Performs shipping paperwork.
