Job summary

Dow Chemical is seeking an Associate Analytical Technician in Illinois to support manufacturing operations by performing laboratory analyses, preparing samples, and maintaining analytical instruments. You will report results to production personnel and ensure data quality according to SOPs.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts, with overtime as needed. Associate degree in chemistry and 2+ years of lab experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree or higher in chemistry preferred.
• 2+ years of laboratory experience preferred.
• Basic lab techniques in gravimetric, volumetric, and temperature measurements desirable.

Responsibilities

• Train to perform routine analyses under supervision until proficient.
• Collect samples according to the Sample Plan.
• Perform preventative maintenance of analytical systems.
• Evaluate data validity and take appropriate action.
• Monitor analytical systems and escalate issues as needed.
• Document, communicate and archive analytical results and data.
