Job summary

Dow in Illinois seeks an Associate Analytical Technician to support manufacturing by conducting laboratory analyses, preparing samples and reporting results to operators and engineers. The role involves maintaining instruments and following SOPs to ensure data quality.

Qualified candidates have a HS diploma (or GED); associate degree preferred, 2+ years lab experience, and are willing to rotate 12-hour shifts with overtime.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or higher in chemistry preferred.
• 2+ years of relevant lab experience preferred.
• Basic lab techniques expected (gravimetric, volumetric, temp measurements).

Responsibilities

• Train to perform routine analyses under supervision until proficiency is shown.
• Collect samples according to the Sample Plan.
• Perform basic maintenance of analytical systems.
• Evaluate data validity and take appropriate action.
• Monitor systems and escalate problems as needed.
• Document, communicate and archive results.
• Follow EH&S and ODMS procedures for tasks.
• Suggest improvements to lab processes and tools.
• Handle non-routine requests with guidance from senior staff.
• Perform lab housekeeping and restocking.
