Job summary

Dow in Illinois is seeking an Associate Analytical Technician in Kankakee to support manufacturing by conducting laboratory analyses, preparing samples, and maintaining instruments. You will report results to operators and engineers, follow standard operating procedures, and ensure data validity while upholding EH&S practices.

- High school diploma required; 12-hour rotating shifts; US work authorization required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts
• Willingness to work overtime as needed
• US work authorization; no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Trains to perform routine analyses under supervision
• Collects samples according to the Sample Plan
• Performs basic preventative maintenance of analytical systems
• Evaluates validity of data for routine analyses
• Monitors analytical systems and escalates problems
• Documents, communicates and archives analytical results
• Follows EH&S and ODMS procedures for tasks
• Suggests improvements to lab processes and tools
• Escalates non-routine requests for follow-up
• Performs lab housekeeping and manages lab inventory
• Processes shipping paperwork
