Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Revenue Cycle Analyst to work remotely in the US. The role focuses on processing medical documentation, submitting claims, and appealing denials to optimize patient service revenue across the care journey.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in Revenue Cycle Management, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with ICD-10 coding. Compensation includes standard benefits and an hourly wage with an emphasis on accuracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • HS, GED or bachelor’s degree in business related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years’ experience within Revenue Cycle Management preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within team environment.
  • Familiarity with ICD-10 coding.
  • Competent with computer systems, software and 10 key calculators.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Prior EdgePark and/or Cardinal Health at Home Customer Operations preferred.

Job description

Remote Hours: M-F 8:30-5:00 pm EST (or based on business needs)

What Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) contributes to Cardinal Health Revenue Cycle Management team focuses on a series of clinical and administrative processes that healthcare providers utilize to capture, bill, and collect patient service revenue.

The revenue cycle shadows the entire patient care journey and begins with patient appointment scheduling and ends when the patient’s account balance is zero.

Responsibilities
  • Submitting medical documentation/billing data to insurance providers
  • Researching and appealing denied and rejected claims
  • Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims using billing software including electronic and paper claim processing
  • Following up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle time frame
  • Calling insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payment if necessary
  • Reviewing insurance payments for accuracy and completeness

Anticipated hourly range: $20.02 per hour - $25.78 per hour
