Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-4 years of professional experience; direct customer-facing experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Highly motivated, team-oriented, and able to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee assigned Medical Products and Distribution customer relationships and service needs.
  • Bridge relationships between customer's supply chain team and Cardinal Health teams.
  • Support customer expectations through proactive account reviews and engagement of key initiatives.
  • Resolve order issues by analyzing reports and coordinating with the customer.
  • Advocate for the customer across Cardinal Health teams to enable rapid resolution.
  • Track, measure, and report KPIs monthly; identify process improvements.

What Account Management contributes to Cardinal Health:

Account Management is responsible for cultivating and maintaining on-going customer relationships with an assigned set of customers. Provides new and existing customers with the best possible service and recommendations in relation to billing inquiries, service requests, improvements to internal and external processes, and other areas of opportunity. Provides product service information to customers and identifies upselling opportunities to maintain and increase income streams from customer relationships.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee assigned Medical Products and Distribution customer(s) as it pertains to supply chain health and general service needs

  • Bridge relationships between the customer’s supply chain team and internal Cardinal Health teams to ensure flawless service

  • Support customer expectations and requirements through proactive account reviews, and regular engagement and review of key initiatives

  • Prevent order disruption to customer through activities such as: elimination of potential inventory issues, substitution maintenance, core list review, and product standardization and conversions

  • Resolve open order issues by reviewing open order and exception reports, analyzing trends, and partnering with customer to take alternative actions as needed.

  • Advocate for customer and partner across Cardinal Health servicing teams to bring rapid and effective resolution to customer’s issues, requests and initiatives

  • Track, measure, and report key performance indicators monthly

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency, quality, and overall performance

  • Build and maintain long‑term trusted relationships with customer to support retention and growth of the account

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred

  • 2-4 years of professional experience; direct customer-facing experience, preferred

  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook), preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, preferred

  • Highly motivated and able to work effectively within a team, preferred

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build solid relationships and deliver high-quality presentations, preferred

  • Ability and willingness to travel occasionally, as business needs require is preferred

Anticipated salary range: $57,000.00 - $81,600.00
