Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Revenue Cycle Specialist to support billing processes from documentation submission to claims follow-up. The role requires familiarity with ICD-10, strong communication, and the ability to work independently within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

  • HS/GED or bachelor’s degree in business-related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years’ experience within Revenue Cycle Management preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within team environment.
  • Able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Familiarity with ICD-10 coding.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Prior EdgePark and/or Cardinal Health at Home Customer Operations preferred.

Job description

Remote Hours: M-F 8:30-5:00 pm EST (or based on business needs)

What Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) contributes to Cardinal Health Revenue Cycle Management team focuses on a series of clinical and administrative processes that healthcare providers utilize to capture, bill, and collect patient service revenue.

The revenue cycle shadows the entire patient care journey and begins with patient appointment scheduling and ends when the patient’s account balance is zero.

Responsibilities
  • Submitting medical documentation/billing data to insurance providers
  • Researching and appealing denied and rejected claims
  • Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims using billing software including electronic and paper claim processing

Anticipated hourly range: $20.02 per hour - $25.78 per hour
