Job summary

Affirm is hiring Analyst I in a remote-first, USA-based role within Risk & Analytics. You will use SQL and Python to analyze customer and merchant data, monitor portfolio health, and support ML model deployment across cross-functional teams. Expect collaboration with Product, Legal, and Compliance in a dynamic fintech environment.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in an analytically driven role.
• Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• Solid working knowledge of SQL, Python, or other scripting languages.

Responsibilities

• Derive insights and support strategy across product, risk, or growth.
• Monitor portfolio health and flag risks and anomalies.
• Technical execution: write SQL and Python to build scalable reporting and support ML/risk models.
• Cross-functional collaboration with Product, Legal, and Compliance to translate regulations into data models.
• Drive launch alignment with operations and risk appetite.
• Integrate AI tools to accelerate data mining while verifying outputs.
