Within the position, analysts can expect to develop job skills, receive mentoring opportunities, and be coached by some of the industry’s best leaders within the investment teams.

The Fund Investment & Managed Solutions (“FIMS”) team identifies and reviews private equity and private credit fund managers and works with our global client base to build and manage private markets portfolios. FIMS team members conduct investment due diligence, screen new investment opportunities, contribute to private equity & private credit research reports, prepare client deliverables and work on special projects to support client servicing. Team members are exposed to the world’s best private sponsors and work alongside our leading institutional investors on a global scale.
Second‑year Fund Investment Analysts will continue to build on the investment and client skills attained in their first year; as investment acumen develops, they will assume greater ownership of initial recommendations and participate more in deal team discussions. They will oversee and review the training of first‑year analysts and over time will review the output of more junior analysts. They will also start to make introductions to broader pieces of the firm.
Strong‑performing analysts are considered for longer‑term careers at Hamilton Lane, with potential for Associate promotions during or after their second year.
