Overview

2026 Hamilton Lane Analyst Development Program - Americas. Hamilton Lane is looking to expand our team to satisfy the needs of our growing client base. The program provides a two-year opportunity to gain Private Markets experience, training, and mentorship within Hamilton Lane’s Investment Division. It is an opportunity to work on an investment team directly out of university without prior Wall Street experience.

At the inception of the program, you will begin with an orientation that provides education into Hamilton Lane and the Private Markets Investment Universe and Industry. After orientation, you will focus on Fund Investment Due Diligence while continuing to receive training and development opportunities. In the second year, you will gain increasing exposure to Transactional work within our Deal Teams (Direct Equity, Direct Credit, and Secondaries). As the two-year program concludes, you will have the opportunity to consider and be considered for opportunities at Hamilton Lane and continue your career growth. Your Responsibilities
  • Conduct due diligence on private equity and private credit funds and/or engage professionally with senior leaders in the industry.
  • Take quantitative and qualitative inputs to form independent views, opinions and recommendations.
  • Drive research/due diligence, prepare analysis, deliver insights and draft investment memos.
  • Support senior client-facing professionals in managing regular quarterly client deliverables and ad-hoc requests through creation of data-focused deliverables including horizon models, benchmarking, and market briefs through Cobalt and other firm tools and platforms.
  • Prepare for and attend client pipeline and update calls, portfolio reviews, Investment Committee/Board meetings, etc.
  • Support the due diligence process on direct equity, direct credit, and secondaries transactions.
Your Background and Skills
  • Undergraduate or Master’s students graduating between September 2025 through June 2026.
  • Demonstrated interest in the Investment Industry through internships, academic and/or extracurricular pursuits.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Examples of being a self-starter with a drive to excel.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to grasp new concepts.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and an interest in financial modeling.
  • Excellent communications skills with a proficiency in the English language.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
