Job summary

Hamilton Lane Advisors, LLC is seeking a high-potential analyst to support private markets research, due diligence, and client portfolio work in the United States.

You will identify fund managers, perform due diligence, generate reports, and assist in client communications. In year two, you will gain greater ownership of recommendations and help train junior analysts.

Qualifications

  • High academic achievement: GPA 3.0+ required.
  • Strong analytical talent and keen interest in investments.
  • English fluency and ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • On-campus leadership in clubs, sports, community service, etc.
  • Success in professional-level internships, with references to illustrate that success.
  • Additional spoken and written languages are a plus.

  • Conduct investment due diligence and screen new investment opportunities; prepare client deliverables.
  • Assist in client management, including pipeline calls and presentations.
  • Perform initial review and formulate recommendations; meet fund managers and due diligence.
  • Monitor portfolios and generate written reports; participate in update/annual meetings.
  • Maintain knowledge of client portfolios; assist in pacing models and allocation decisions.
  • Respond to ad hoc questions; leverage AI tools to improve project execution.
  • In year two, take greater ownership of recommendations; supervise first-year analysts.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and review private equity and private credit fund managers and work with our global client base to build and manage private markets portfolios.
  • Conduct investment due diligence, screen new investment opportunities, contribute to private equity and private credit research reports, prepare client deliverables and work on special projects to support client servicing.
  • Assist in client management, including pipeline calls, presentations and portfolio development tasks.
  • Perform the initial review and formulate the initial recommendation of private equity and private credit fund opportunities on a global basis; meet fund managers and perform in‑depth due diligence to arrive at a final recommendation.
  • Monitor portfolios and generate written reports on Hamilton Lane’s current fund investments through update meetings, quarterly calls and annual meetings.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of assigned client portfolios and the investments within these portfolios; assist in client portfolio development including running pacing models, assisting with allocation decisions, preparing strategic plans and reviewing quarterly reports.
  • Respond to adhoc prospect and client questions and special requests; develop expertise in emerging company technologies and leverage AI tools to enhance project execution and improve efficiency.
  • During the second year, assume greater ownership of initial recommendations, participate more in deal team discussions, oversee and review the training of first‑year analysts, and start to make introductions to broader pieces of the firm.
