Job summary

Eversource is seeking an analyst to provide analytical support for utility operations. You will translate data into actionable insights for leaders and help drive efficiency across functions.

The role covers financial and economic analyses, budgeting concepts, ad-hoc reporting, and process improvements, with opportunities to influence safety metrics and emergency response readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline or equivalent experience may be considered, or equivalent combined education and experience
• Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of related experience
• Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, statistical and mathematical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with budgeting and accounting concepts
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, charts and building functions
• Familiarity with Microsoft Access, Word and Power Point preferred
• Experience with electrical utilities and electrical distribution systems preferred
• Must be available to work emergency restoration assignments as required
• Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary

• Analyze processes and data and convert findings into value-added information

• Identify opportunities for process change or continuous improvement and facilitate implementation
• Apply information technology solutions to business needs
• Perform ad-hoc querying and reporting for Eversource management and personnel
• Analyze data and processes with departments throughout the company
• Develop reports, prepare and deliver presentations, and write procedures
• Perform special assignments
• Maintain a forward-looking view of staffing and workforce availability
• Produce concise reporting and analysis on safety trends, performance gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities
• Support financial visibility and tracking of regulatory, compliance, and organizational commitments
• Respond to storm restoration and emergency assignments
