Job summary

Monolithic Power Systems, Inc. in Kirkland, WA seeks a layout designer for analog and mixed-signal IC blocks. You will work with circuit designers to ensure layouts meet quality, performance, and reliability requirements and perform DRC, LVS, and ERC verifications.

The role requires 1+ years of layout experience, familiarity with CMOS/BiCMOS, Unix data tools, and strong teamwork and communication skills. Travel to coordinate with off-site teams may be needed.

Qualifications

  • AA Degree in Engineering or related field; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in Analog & Mixed Signal IC layout design.
  • Understanding of design rules, device matching, shielding, isolation, etc.
  • Familiar with CMOS and BiCMOS technology and IC design principles.
  • Experience with CAD flows/tools for analog/mixed-signal layout design.
  • Data management tools in a Unix environment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication; ability to work with IC design engineers and other layout designers.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team; strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Layout of custom mixed-signal and analog circuit blocks.
  • Collaborate with circuit designers to meet quality, performance, and reliability targets.
  • Perform layout verification checks (DRC, LVS, ERC).
  • Support off-site design and layout teams and coordinate with teams outside the USA.
  • Track assigned design tasks to meet schedules and deliverables.
