Job summary

Five Star Parks & Attractions is seeking a General Manager in Baton Rouge to oversee the local operation, staff, budgets, and guest experience. You will set strategic goals, drive profitability, and lead a team of 40-80+ staff across multiple departments.

Successful candidates will be proven leaders with strong communication, decision-making, and risk management skills, committed to safety and exceptional guest service at a busy entertainment venue.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
• At least five years of management or supervisory experience.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to work up to 50 hours per week, availability to work every weekend.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Able to lift 39lbs unaided.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations to meet and exceed company standards, best practices, and policies.
• Manage all financials, including sales, expense budgets, labor, and COGs.
• Ensure clear communication with the team daily.
• Balance working in the business vs. on the business to produce results.
• Lead Sales & Marketing programs, LTOs, and rollouts.
• Handle guest/community interactions and escalate issues as needed.
• Coordinate staffing with Recruiter to maintain proper staffing levels.
• Ensure training compliance with training director and location manager.
• Prioritize safety with safety director and location manager.
