Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Field Service Engineer I for the AMHS Sustaining Team in Phoenix. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose electromechanical and software issues, and ensure maximum uptime of automated material handling systems in a highly technical environment.

You will install, configure, and validate hardware/software, review schematics, and support sustaining activities with engineering and customer teams. Travel to customer sites is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12+ months of hands-on technical experience with industrial equipment, automation, or related systems.
• Associate degree orTechnical certification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Robotics, Electronics, or related field.
• At least 6+ months of experience verbal troubleshooting with a colleague or customer.
• Experience reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on AMHS to ensure reliability.
• Troubleshoot electromechanical and software issues on automated equipment.
• Analyze system logs and alarms to identify root causes.
• Verify software revisions and configurations during maintenance.
• Install and validate hardware/software updates.
• Document maintenance activities and equipment status for traceability.
• Collaborate with engineering and customer teams to resolve issues.
• Travel to customer sites to install, maintain, and support AMHS.
