Job summary

Airwallex, a global fintech, is building a dedicated Americas Total Rewards function from its San Francisco base. You’ll shape compensation, benefits and equity programs across the US, Canada, Brazil and Mexico, partnering with global teams to align governance and reporting.

You’ll lead market benchmarking, pay decisions and plan renewals while communicating clearly with executives, People Partners and payroll. A builder mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in total rewards, compensation or benefits across the Americas.
• Experience owning or building a complete Total Rewards program including equity.
• Experience designing benefits programs and managing plan renewals with brokers.
• Strong compensation analytics including benchmarking, salary ranges and geographic differentials.
• Experience communicating compensation decisions with senior leaders and recruiters.
• Knowledge of US equity compensation (RSUs, ISOs, ESPP) and vesting mechanics.
• Experience at a late-stage private, pre-IPO or recently public company with governance changes.

Responsibilities

• Own the Americas Total Rewards program for US, Canada, Brazil and Mexico with end-to-end scope.
• Lead compensation planning, benchmarking and pay decisions, including structures and cycles.
• Design benefits programs and lead renewals, broker negotiations and transition projects.
• Partner with the global Total Rewards team on stock plan administration (RSUs, ISOs, ESPP).
• Lead global/regional Total Rewards projects including equity framework rollout and IPO-readiness.
• Use market data and financial modeling to advise leaders and translate analysis.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, People Partners, Payroll, Finance, Legal and leadership on compensation strategy.
• Build processes and documentation for Americas Total Rewards across time zones.
