Job summary

Airwallex in San Francisco is seeking a Senior Total Rewards leader to own compensation, benefits and equity programs across the Americas. You will lead regional execution, align with the global rewards team, and guarantee market-aligned pay ranges while partnering with recruiters and People Partners.

This role is based in San Francisco and requires 8+ years in total rewards, with experience at late-stage or pre-IPO firms.

Qualifications

8+ years in total rewards, compensation, or benefits, incl. Americas.
Experience building a complete rewards program (compensation, benefits, equity).
End-to-end benefits process management; broker/insurer renewals.
Strong compensation data analytics; annual market reviews and pay strategy.
Proven ability to build models and projections.
Knowledge of US stock administration and equity compensation (RSUs, vesting).
Experience at late-stage/private or pre-IPO with equity programs.

Responsibilities

Design and execute compensation strategy: salary structure, pay differentials, market positioning, merit and bonus cycles, and offer decisions.
Own benefits lifecycle: plan design, renewals, broker negotiations, ACA/ERISA compliance.
Manage company stock plans: RSU, ISO, ESPP mechanics, vesting, taxation, SEC compliance, grant execution, governance.
Lead Total Rewards projects across global/the Americas, scope work, align stakeholders, communicate decisions.
Partner with global rewards on IPO readiness initiatives.
Use market data to ground decisions and influence stakeholders; translate analysis for leadership.
Collaborate with TA, People Partners, Payroll, Finance, Legal, and exec leadership on compensation and strategy.
