Job summary

Surgery Partners is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to support the surgical experience in a fast-paced ambulatory center. This role serves as the primary contact for patients before and after scheduled procedures and must manage a high volume of calls with accuracy and professionalism.

The coordinator completes preoperative calls to confirm procedure details, arrival times, transportation arrangements, required documentation, and the patient’s understanding of facility-approved instructions.

Responsibilities

• Make preoperative calls to confirm procedure details, arrival times, transportation, and required documentation

• Conduct postoperative follow-up calls and reinforce discharge instructions
• Document all patient communications in the facility system
• Collaborate with nursing, scheduling, providers, and leadership to support smooth operations
