Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals in Waynesburg is seeking a Scheduling/Registration Clerk to manage outpatient visits and procedures across ambulatory clinics. You will collect information, register patients, verify guarantor details, and coordinate follow-up appointments to ensure smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Checks in and checks out patients according to Scheduling/Registration guidelines.
• Obtain and verify patient guarantor information.
• Schedules and registers patients based on guidelines and medical appropriateness.
• Coordinate follow-up appointments and testing with patients.
• Collect time of service payments and copayments.
• Reconcile cash drawer and report discrepancies at end of day.
• Obtain signatures on waivers for managed care.
• Respond to patient communications in a timely manner.
