Job summary

University of California, San Francisco is seeking an Ambul Care Admin Supervisor I to oversee clinic operations staff across multiple imaging locations. The role includes daily administrative functions, scheduling, registration, and ensuring privacy and patient service compliance.

You will supervise 5-15 FTE, participate in staffing, training, and policy development, and coordinate with IT and radiology teams to maintain seamless patient flow and service quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area and / or 2 years equivalent experience / training.
• Skills to supervise support staff in clinic / center administration, and to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of practice operations, patient-scheduling systems, medical and insurance terminology, applicable information systems, patient service standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Basic knowledge of human resources management policies, with the ability to train, monitor, evaluate, and document human resources issues and performance, and to provide input to decision‑making on human resources matters.
• Detail oriented, with the ability to apply analytical and critical thinking skills to quickly analyze problems, determine appropriate level of intervention, and apply effective solutions.
• Solid interpersonal skills for effective information exchange and problem solving with all levels of management and staff, consultants, and outside agencies.
• Skills in written and verbal communications, with the ability to convey complex administrative, clinical, and technical information in a clear and concise manner, and to produce a variety of reports and analyses.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of clinic administration across multiple imaging locations.
• Recruitment, hiring, discipline and performance evaluation; collaborate with Labor Relations on bargaining issues.
• Provide orientation and training to staff to ensure professionalism and customer service.
• Monitor privacy, call routing, scheduling, and data handling in patient services.
• Coordinate IT systems access and security, and support IT-related workflows.
• Improve operational efficiency and patient service quality; resolve escalated issues.
• Promote standards, staff development, and regulatory compliance.
