Job summary

UCSF Health is seeking an Ambul Care Admin Supv 1 to oversee daily radiology clinic operations across multiple locations in the Bay Area. You will supervise front-line staff, manage scheduling, and coordinate administrative workflows to deliver timely, patient-focused service.

The role requires strong HR, IT, and process improvement skills to ensure compliance, accuracy, and high-quality patient experiences across clinics and radiology sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or 2 years equivalent experience.
• Experience supervising clinic staff and coordinating administrative tasks.
• Knowledge of patient scheduling, medical and insurance terminology, and information systems.
• Understanding of HR policies and performance management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with analytical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Supervise 5–15 FTE staff in daily work assignments and ensure staffing coverage.
• Manage recruitment, performance evaluations, discipline, and HR matters in collaboration with Labor Relations.
• Provide orientation and ongoing training; coach staff on customer service and professional standards.
• Ensure privacy, data handling, call routing, scheduling, and accurate communication to patients and physicians.
• Suggest improvements to operational efficiency and customer service quality.
• Oversee IT systems access and staff training for Radiology workflows; coordinate with facilities as needed.
