RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Practice Specialist I to support ambulatory practices across our organization. You will assist with onboarding, acquisitions, and Epic-related activities, coordinating with practice leaders and Epic teams to optimize workflows.

Ideal candidates have healthcare experience, strong project coordination skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. This is a day-shift, salaried role based in West Orange, NJ, with opportunities to impact practice operations

Qualifications

• Associate's degree with 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare operations and workflows.
• Ability to support onboarding, operational projects, and process improvements.
• Strong project coordination, organization, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently.
• Excellent problem-solving and data analysis abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
• Experience with Epic and healthcare IT workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support ambulatory practice acquisitions, onboarding, location changes, mergers, and expansions.
• Conduct initial practice assessments and gather operational and system data.
• Coordinate acquisition and onboarding activities, including data conversion assessments and Epic Build Requests.
• Serve as a liaison between Epic build teams, practice resources, project teams, and operational stakeholders.
• Support pre-go-live, go-live, and post-go-live activities for ambulatory practices.
• Evaluate current-state workflows and help practices transition to standardized future-state processes.
• Provide hands-on support and workflow reinforcement for practice staff and providers.
• Support Epic workflows, applications, and newly implemented functionality.
• Identify and recommend process improvements that increase efficiency and standardization.
