Responsibilities

• Collect pathology specimens at Ambulatory Care Centers.
• Register, process, and allocate laboratory specimens and orders.
• Verify patient/specimen identification and appropriateness of specimens and orders.
• Organize laboratory workflow and prioritize processing for transport.
• Maintain clean work environment and proper PAR levels of supplies.
• Use equipment and computer systems to test requests, accession, label and package specimens.
• Perform POCT and document routine maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Manage patient wait times and communicate clearly and empathetically.
• Demonstrate service excellence and professional appearance.
• Work independently and as part of a team with supervisory review.
