UCLA Health seeks a Team Assistant to support patient flow from registration to discharge across 25+ specialties in the Ambulatory network. You will work with multiple clinics, assist in scheduling, processing authorizations, and coordinating referrals, with coverage across practices as needed.

The role requires travel to UCLA Health locations within Southern California, a flexible schedule, and a patient-focused approach in a fast-paced setting.

Formación

• Willingness to travel to UCLA Health locations and be present at worksites
• Able to work varied days/shifts, including weekends
• Familiarity with authorization processes and managed care programs
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Ability to set priorities reflecting job responsibilities
• Ability to build productive relationships with faculty, staff, administration and diverse patients
• Strong verbal communication to convey complex problems
• Ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients
• Ability to integrate competing demands into a productive work environment
• Knowledge of job responsibilities and ability to use required tools

• Support patient flow from registration through discharge
• Collaborate with clinic teams to ensure smooth operations and outstanding service
• Process prior authorizations and referrals
• Complete surgery scheduling tasks
• Assist in managing physicians' clinic appointments and surgery schedules
• Gather information for successful patient consultations
• Provide coverage across multiple practices based on staffing needs
