Orlando Health seeks a skilled hospital coder to accurately code Same Day Surgery and Outpatient Observation across the system, ensuring compliance with state and federal rules. You will use ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 within EPIC, encoder, and CAC tools to support APC assignments.

The role requires strong attention to detail, professional communication with physicians and care teams, and adherence to AHIMA/AAPC guidelines while sustaining high QA accuracy.

Competenze

• 2 years hospital coding experience
• Proficiency with ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding systems
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
• Ability to maintain 95% accuracy in coding QA studies

Mansioni

• Review clinical documentation and assign ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes for same-day surgery and outpatient observation across multiple facilities.
• Sequence codes for APC assignment per CMS guidelines.
• Communicate with physicians and care teams to obtain needed documentation.
