Emory Healthcare is seeking a Hospital Outpatient Coder Level II to assign ICD-9/ICD-10 and CPT codes for Ambulatory Surgery, Gastrointestinal, Infusion and Observation encounters. You will collaborate with physicians, CDI specialists, and billing teams to support accurate coding and reimbursement.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, at least two years of acute care outpatient coding, and relevant certifications (CIRCC, CPC, CPC-H, CCA, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P).

Qualifications

• Outpatient coding experience in ambulatory settings.
• Ability to assign ICD-9/ICD-10 and CPT codes accurately.
• Collaboration with physicians, CDI, and billing teams.

Responsabilités

• Assign ICD-9/ICD-10 and CPT codes to the highest level of accuracy.
• Work with physicians and staff on billing, reporting, and compliance.
• Follow-up on edits, claim rejections, and billing issues; ensure APC accuracy.
• Extract core data into HIM systems for data warehouse.
