Job summary

UNC Health's Rex Cary OR Services is seeking a highly qualified Registered Nurse to support complex surgical patients in a busy ambulatory surgery center in Cary, NC. The position is full-time with Day Job hours and no weekend or holiday calls.

Applicants must graduate from a professional nursing school, hold and NC RN license, and have BLS on hire with ACLS within 6 months. At least 2 years of OR experience is required to join this clinical team.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
• BLS required upon hire; ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire date.
• Minimum of 2 years OR experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess and synthesize data to determine priorities for care in the OR setting.
• Provide education and support to patients and families.
• Collaborate with the health care team to implement care plans and achieve unit goals.
