Job summary

Raleigh Orthopedic Clinic in Raleigh, NC is seeking an experienced OR Circulator RN to join our fast-paced ambulatory surgery center. You will ensure patient safety, support the surgical team, and manage perioperative communication.

The ideal candidate holds an active NC RN license, BLS/ACLS, 1–2 years of circulating OR experience (orthopaedic preferred), and familiarity with EMR and infection control. No weekends or after-hours shifts; competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Active NC RN license
• BLS and ACLS certification (PALS preferred)
• 1–2 years of circulating experience in an OR setting; orthopaedic surgery experience preferred
• Familiarity with ambulatory surgery workflows, EMR, and sterilization protocols
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and multitasking skills
• Team-oriented with a calm, professional presence under pressure

Responsibilities

• Prepare and verify the operating room setup for orthopaedic procedures
• Coordinate surgical case flow and ensure instruments, implants, and equipment are available and functioning
• Conduct pre-op patient verification and consent checks
• Serve as patient advocate intraoperatively, monitoring safety and sterility
• Support the surgical team by managing supplies, documentation, and communication
• Handle specimens with accurate labeling and transfer
• Maintain infection control protocols and safety standards
• Collaborate with PACU, sterile processing, and supply chain teams
