Job summary

Duke Primary Care South Durham is seeking an experienced Ambulatory Nurse Manager to lead a team of 20+ providers, manage daily patient care, and ensure quality across clinics. This role oversees strategic planning, staffing, and regulatory compliance to deliver exceptional patient outcomes in a busy Durham setting.

Candidates should have a nursing degree and NC RN licensure, with leadership experience and a preference for advanced nursing education. Relocation may be considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
• Master's degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• Current North Carolina RN licensure and BCLS certification.
• Leadership certification or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
• Three years of nursing experience; leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and operational leadership across ambulatory clinics.
• Align nursing priorities with clinic operations and budgets.
• Support providers and care teams; drive quality improvement.
• Plan, implement, and monitor policies and service-line goals.
• Hire, coach, evaluate, and schedule clinical staff.
• Promote patient- and family-centered care and safety.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and on-call coverage for emergencies.
