Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join the Float Pool on a full-time, days schedule. The role supports multiple clinics across the Northwestern Medicine system, providing essential patient care, specimen collection, ECGs, venipuncture, and immunizations.

Must be a certified/registered MA with BLS/CPR. Expect variable start/end times, travel between sites, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care within a patient-first environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified/registered Medical Assistant
• Current certification in CMA/ RMA/ NCCT/ CCMA/ NRCMA or eligible to obtain within six months of employment
• American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification required

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient flow and provide support to physicians, nurses and staff
• Travel locally to support multiple Northwestern Medicine clinics as needed
• Prepare exam rooms, obtain vital signs, document information and assist with procedures such as ECG, venipuncture and immunizations
• Maintain clean, organized patient care areas and ensure patient confidentiality
• Support with inventory, supplies and clinic onboarding procedures
