Job summary

University of Kansas Health System seeks a Patient Service Representative (Float) to support ambulatory clinics across the KC Metro. You will manage front desk operations, check-in/out, and coordinate MyChart/EMR requests to ensure seamless patient flow.

The role requires strong customer service, basic computer skills (Excel/Word/Outlook/Teams), and flexibility to rotate across clinics as staffing needs arise.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in customer service or health care experience.
• 1+ year of experience in customer service skills focusing on problem resolution.
• 1+ year of experience in basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients at front desk.
• Answer calls and process MyChart/EMR appointment requests.
• Register patients and collect copays; verify insurance.
• Schedule appointments, telehealth, surgeries and ancillary services.
• Assist with preauthorization and MyChart activation.
