Bassett Healthcare Network is seeking an Ambulatory Office Assistant I to be the first point of contact for patients, delivering courteous front-desk service and coordinating scheduling and registration to support efficient clinic flow.

You will gather demographic and insurance information, assist with billing and eligibility, and communicate with nurses and providers to ensure timely, accurate patient care across ambulatory services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
• Minimum one year relevant work experience (Associates degree or higher may be substituted), required.
• Customer service experience, preferred.

Responsabilités

• Serve as first point of contact for patients with strong customer service focus.
• Schedule and register outpatient appointments with accuracy and care.
• Collect demographic and insurance information for revenue capture.
• Answer phones and relay messages to nursing and providers.
• Support billing processes and health eligibility verification.
