Job summary

Duke Primary Care Hillsborough seeks a Nurse Manager, AC to lead clinical operations and nursing teams at the Hillsborough site. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, regulatory compliance, and staff development within a busy ambulatory setting.

You will oversee multi-disciplinary teams, drive quality initiatives, and ensure efficient clinic operations while maintaining a focus on safety and patient experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required.
• Master’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• Three years of nursing experience is required.
• Must have current or compact RN licensure in North Carolina.
• Leadership certification within three months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Clinic Oversight: Manage and coordinate patient care and personnel needs in a DUHS clinic.
• Operational Efficiency: Develop and implement processes to enhance clinic operations and practices for ongoing quality improvement.
• Policy Development: Develop, document, implement, and monitor written policies and procedures reflective of the ambulatory site’s mission.
• Program Implementation: Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate ambulatory health care services and activities.
• Human Resources: Manage hiring, orientation, performance appraisals, promotions, and scheduling; conduct formal discipline as needed.
• Professional Development: Collaborate on learning opportunities and skill development for clinical staff.
• Care Delivery: Analyze and maintain an effective nursing care delivery system; educate patients and families.
