Duke Primary Care Hillsborough seeks a Nurse Manager, AC to lead clinical operations and nursing teams at the Hillsborough site. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, regulatory compliance, and staff development within a busy ambulatory setting.

You will oversee multi-disciplinary teams, drive quality initiatives, and ensure efficient clinic operations while maintaining a focus on safety and patient experience.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required.
• Master’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• Three years of nursing experience is required.
• Must have current or compact RN licensure in North Carolina.
• Leadership certification within three months of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Clinic Oversight: Manage and coordinate patient care and personnel needs in a DUHS clinic.
• Operational Efficiency: Develop and implement processes to enhance clinic operations and practices for ongoing quality improvement.
• Policy Development: Develop, document, implement, and monitor written policies and procedures reflective of the ambulatory site’s mission.
• Program Implementation: Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate ambulatory health care services and activities.
• Human Resources: Manage hiring, orientation, performance appraisals, promotions, and scheduling; conduct formal discipline as needed.
• Professional Development: Collaborate on learning opportunities and skill development for clinical staff.
• Care Delivery: Analyze and maintain an effective nursing care delivery system; educate patients and families.

Nurse Manager, AC - Hillsborough Family Practice

Duke Primary Care Hillsborough provides comprehensive, family-centered care for patients of all ages in one convenient location. Our team offers everything from annual physicals, screenings, and immunizations to sick visits, chronic condition management, and women’s health services. We also provide pediatric care, including well-child visits, school and sports physicals, and ongoing support for conditions like asthma, allergies, and diabetes. With on-site lab testing and X-rays, we make it easy for patients to get the care they need close to home.

Location: 267 South Churchton Street, Hillsborough, NC 27278

Schedule: 8am – 5pm, Monday – Friday

What you will do:

Clinical Operations Management

• Clinic Oversight :
  Manage and coordinate patient care and personnel needs in a DUHS clinic.
  Work performed involves managing multi-specialty nursing services delivered within a specified clinic.
  Manage the clinic in the absence of the HealthCare Administrator/Practice Manager; be available on-call for emergencies involving the facility or staff.
• Operational Efficiency :
  Develop and implement processes to enhance clinic operations and practices for ongoing quality improvement.
  Identify clinical operational needs; manage appropriate levels of equipment and supplies, and monitor equipment maintenance.
  Assess the environment and make recommendations to ensure optimal patient comfort, safety, and compliance with regulatory bodies (e.g., OSHA, JCAHO).
• Policy Development :
  Develop, document, implement, and monitor written policies and procedures reflective of the ambulatory healthcare site’s mission and objectives.
  Perform other related duties incidental to clinic operations.

Strategic Planning & Program Development

• Program Implementation :
  Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate ambulatory health care services, programs, and activities.
  Collaborate with the Health Center Administrator/Nurse Manager in determining fiscal requirements; submit budgetary recommendations including necessary nursing personnel and patient care materials.
• Human Resources :
  Manage various personnel actions including, but not limited to, hiring, orientation, performance appraisals, promotions, and scheduling.
  Counsel and conduct formal discipline of clinical staff as needed.
• Professional Development :
  Collaborate in the development, implementation, and expansion of learning opportunities and skill development for all clinical staff.
  Collaborate with nursing colleagues in ambulatory care to promote optimal utilization of nursing resources among various clinics.

• Care Delivery :
  Analyze, develop, and maintain an effective and efficient nursing care delivery system that reflects patient and family needs across the continuum, achieving desired outcomes.
  Promote education for patients, patient families, and the community.
  Participate in direct patient care activities as a targeted strategy for role modeling or information gathering.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required. Master's degree in Nursing strongly preferred.

Experience

• Three years of nursing experience is required.

Degrees, Licensures, Certifications

• Must have current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina. BCLS certification required
• Nurses hired into leadership positions must obtain a leadership certification within three months of hire
• New nurse leaders who are ineligible to sit for an exam because they have not been working in a leadership role for the minimum amount of time required must complete their certification within three months of becoming eligible
