The University of Kansas Health System is seeking an Access Specialist to support ambulatory practices by optimizing patient access to services. You will partner with practices, gather data from multiple systems, and recommend improvements to reduce access barriers and meet targets.

You will build and maintain physician scheduling templates, monitor performance dashboards, and collaborate with various departments to ensure efficient access management and capacity planning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 7+ years healthcare clinic operations experience including familiarity with EHR scheduling workflows or revenue cycle experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years healthcare clinic operations experience including familiarity with EHR scheduling workflows or revenue cycle experience.

Responsabilités

• Build and maintain physician schedule templates within the EHR with template builders and staff.
• Ensure adherence to Office of Access Management template standards.
• Process and manage schedule change requests for practices.
• Gather and compile data across departments for access management.
• Review dashboards and reports to identify access divergence or capacity issues.
• Apply scheduling policies and optimize automated call distribution and scheduling scripts.
