Job summary

Ambassador Church in Milwaukee is seeking a Youth Ministry Resident to lead and shepherd middle and high school students as they grow in faith. You will plan and run weekly youth gatherings, teach on a rotating basis, and raise up a team of volunteers to support ministry under staff guidance.

This role operates within a dual fundraising model with salary support and benefits; you will collaborate with the Lead Pastor and Next-Gen Coordinator to engage local schools, maintain weekly staff

YOUTH MINISTRY RESIDENT

My Focus: Grow in my pastoral ability to lead and direct a youth ministry

Staff Report: Lead Pastor and/or Next-Gen Coordinator

TOP TEN:

• Grow as a disciple of Jesus, prioritizing PIERS - Physical, Intellectual, Emotional, Relational, and Spiritual Health.
• Consume and contribute during all Ambassador events & meetings as required for staff, per your staff report, and within your area of ministry.
• Maintain the all-staff expectation of a weekly 3-2-1. Three meetings with new/new to you/non-leaders, Two meetings with leaders or people you’re developing, and one hour of prayer weekly.
• Plan and lead weekly youth gatherings (teaching, programming, logistics)
• Teach on a rotating basis, developing as a communicator under staff feedback
• Raise up leaders to come alongside you as a team to assist you in weekly leading
• Engage with local schools to build relationships with teachers, staff, and strengthen relationships with students.
• Coordinate with Lead Pastor, Next-Gen Coordinator, and parents on weekly communication and partnership
• Care for students in crisis, in partnership with pastoral staff
• Support Raise consistent with your agreed upon goal
• Minor: Pursue outside teaching reps when possible to grow in preaching and teaching

BENEFITS:

• Salary range: $35,000-$40,000
• Dual fundraising model: Ambassador Church is responsible for supporting the resident at 30% of total fundraising goal.
