Job summary

Kingdom Church in Twin Falls, Idaho seeks a Youth Pastor to lead and disciple middle and high school students. This role focuses on biblical teaching, volunteer development, and strategic oversight of student ministries.

The Youth Pastor will collaborate with families, lead worship, manage social platforms, and build outreach opportunities while modeling Christ-centered leadership and integrity.

Position Title/ Full-time: Youth Pastor

Reports To: Executive Pastor

Position Summary

The Youth Pastor is responsible for leading, discipling, and developing the next generation of believers from middle school through High School. This pastor will provide spiritual leadership, biblical teaching, volunteer development, and strategic oversight of all ministries designed to reach and disciple students. The ideal candidate will have a passion for evangelism, discipleship, leadership development, and partnering with families to help young people grow into fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

Primary Responsibilities

Spiritual Leadership

• Provide Christ-centered leadership and vision for Youth Ministries.
• Model a growing relationship with Jesus Christ through personal devotion, integrity, and servant leadership.
• Teach and uphold the doctrinal beliefs and mission of the church.
• Develop a culture of discipleship, spiritual growth, and biblical literacy.

Student Ministry (Middle School & High School)

• Plan and lead weekly youth gatherings, Bible studies, small groups, retreats, and special events.
• Create engaging and biblically sound teaching that connects with students.
• Build relationships with students and their families.
• Develop and mentor student leaders.
• Coordinate outreach opportunities designed to reach unchurched students.

Volunteer Leadership

• Build upon current team, code of conduct and guidelines/ expectations.
• Recruit, train, equip, and encourage volunteer leaders.
• Develop a leadership pipeline that identifies and mentor’s future ministry leaders.
• Ensure all volunteers meet church policies and safety requirements.
• Conduct regular leadership meetings and training opportunities.

Family Partnership

• Partner with parents as the primary disciplers of their children.
• Provide resources and encouragement to strengthen families spiritually.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding ministry events and discipleship opportunities, and host semi regular parent focused events.

Outreach and Missions

• Create evangelistic opportunities for students.
• Coordinate mission trips, service projects, and community outreach efforts, in alignment with exist church ministries.
• Encourage a heart for local and global missions.

Administrative Responsibilities

• Plan and manage ministry budgets responsibly.
• Coordinate ministry calendars and events.
• Maintain clear communication through church communication channels.
• Track attendance, volunteer engagement, and ministry effectiveness.
• Work collaboratively with church staff and ministry leaders.
• Have a good understanding of Apple Technology and Church Media
• Participate in managing youth social media platforms.

Qualifications

Spiritual Qualifications

• A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ.
• Demonstrates spiritual maturity and a lifestyle consistent with biblical leadership standards found in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
• Agreement with the church's statement of faith and core values.
• Passion for reaching and discipling the next generation.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Bible, Ministry, Theology, or a related field preferred.
• Seminary training or equivalent ministry experience preferred.
• Experience leading youth, young adult, or family ministry.
• Proven ability to recruit, train, and lead volunteers.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong biblical teaching and communication skills.
• Ability to connect relationally with students, young adults, and parents.
• Strong organizational and administrative abilities.
• Team-oriented and collaborative leadership style.
• Self-motivated, Self-starter, efficient with an flex schedule.
• Able and willing to pursue needed skills/endorsement to operate Church transportation.
• Proficiency with technology, social media, and digital communication tools.
• Able to lead worship from guitar/ Keys preferred.
• Sound/Media/Lights experience preferred.

Expectations

• Participate actively in the life and ministry of the church (attend events outside of your direct oversight) .
• Attend staff meetings and leadership gatherings.
• Support the overall vision and mission of the church.
• Maintain healthy relationships with church members, volunteers, and staff.
• Continue personal and professional development. (Annual Conferences, Retreats, Reading, etc.)
• Assist with the maintenance and cleaning of the facility.
• Willingness to embrace existing branding, vision and mission.

Success Indicators

The Youth Pastor will be considered successful when:

• Students and young adults are growing in their relationship with Christ.
• New students and young adults are being reached with the Gospel and following Jesus in believers’ baptism.
• Volunteer teams are healthy, trained, and multiplying.
• Regular positive feedback from students and congregation.
• Parents feel supported and equipped in discipleship.
• A clear pathway exists from student ministry to adult involvement and leadership within the church.
• Future leaders are being identified, discipled, and deployed for ministry.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary negotiable based on education and experience.
• After one year, 10 days of paid time off.
