• Develop through weekly discipleship and leadership trainings, assigned readings, and stretch assignments.
• Engage in ministry within a specific department or campus team, contributing as a full team member while building healthy relationships with staff and volunteers.
• Collaborate with resident cohort peers and across ministry areas on multi-site and all-church opportunities (e.g., Serve Days, Easter, Christmas).
• Support ministry execution by owning projects and completing assignments within the resident’s area of placement.
• Model Christlike character and the culture values of humble, hungry, and healthy in all settings.
• Perform other duties as required.

JOB SUMMARY

The Leadership Resident is a model of Christian character who lives out Traders Point staff behaviors. This role is an 11-month structured residency experience designed to:develop spiritually and practically in ministry leadership, gain clarity in calling through hands-on ministry assignments and mentoring, and participate fully in discipleship, leadership development, and ministry training.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

DUTIES/PRIMARY JOB PRODUCTS

• Develop through weekly discipleship and leadership trainings, assigned readings, and stretch assignments.
• Engage in ministry within a specific department or campus team, contributing as a full team member while building healthy relationships with staff and volunteers.
• Collaborate with resident cohort peers and across ministry areas on multi-site and all-church opportunities (e.g., Serve Days, Easter, Christmas).
• Support ministry execution by owning projects and completing assignments within the resident’s area of placement.
• Model Christlike character and the culture values of humble, hungry, and healthy in all settings.
• Perform other duties as required.

INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS

• This position reports directly to the assigned ministry mentor, with additional oversight from the NextGen Leadership Development Pastor.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in progress or completed OR equivalent years of general work experience required.
• Actively involved in the life of a local church.
• Prior leadership involvement in church, campus ministry, or related setting preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENTS

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to sit, stand, bend, kneel or squat.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
• Must be able to work various hours to accommodate events occasionally.
• Ability to travel locally as needed.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, including evenings/weekends as needed for ministry events.
