Job summary

Smartsearchonline is seeking a Director of Amazon Marketplace to own an eight-figure Amazon business from strategy to execution. This hybrid role, based near Orange County, CA, offers high visibility and direct reporting to senior leadership.

You will drive revenue growth, profitability, and advertising efficiency while managing inventory and Seller Central operations. The position requires strong analytical skills and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience running a sizable Amazon Seller Central business with true ownership of the channel.
• Proven experience owning the P&L for a brand generating eight figures or more in annual Amazon revenue.
• Hands-on Seller Central experience including suppressed listings, Buy Box issues, reimbursement claims, deductions, and account troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of Amazon advertising (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display).
• Ability to diagnose advertising performance issues and optimize bids, placement, targeting, or creative.

Responsibilities

• Own the Amazon channel P&L, including revenue growth, advertising efficiency, margin, forecasting, and budget.
• Develop and execute the multi-year strategy for Amazon aligned with the eCommerce business.
• Identify opportunities to expand into new product categories, markets, and regions.
• Manage and coordinate external agencies or partners for Amazon activities.
• Translate Amazon performance into clear reporting, forecasts, and leadership recommendations.
