The client is seeking a Director or Senior Director of Amazon & Marketplace Growth to own marketplace strategy, P&L, and team performance. The role focuses on evolving beyond SKU-volume growth toward hero product development, category leadership, and more profitable marketplace execution across Amazon and additional key marketplaces, including TikTok Shop, Walmart Marketplace, and Shopify. You will lead a high-performing Amazon team, create scalable operating systems, and partner closely with Product, Finance, Brand, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and Operations to drive sustainable, profitable growth.

Responsibilities include owning marketplace growth levers and execution, with an emphasis on improving business and financial outcomes. You will be accountable for GMV, net revenue, gross margin, contribution margin, and promotion ROI, and will translate marketplace data into actionable insights and executive-level reporting. The role also involves leading, coaching, and scaling marketplace and Amazon functions, establishing KPI and accountability frameworks, and driving cross-functional initiatives that improve performance across listings, conversion, advertising effectiveness, pricing, promotions, reviews, content, inventory, and SKU portfolio management.

Must-have qualifications include 8+ years of experience in e-commerce or Amazon/digital commerce for consumer products, including 3+ years in senior people leadership. You should have 5+ years of hands-on Amazon marketplace experience with strong knowledge of Seller Central and/or Vendor Central, Amazon Ads, listing optimization, and marketplace operations, along with a proven track record of driving marketplace GMV growth and profitability. Preferred experience may include backgrounds in health & wellness or related consumer categories, familiarity with hero SKU strategy and product lifecycle and SKU rationalization, and experience with retail media or attribution testing tools and methodologies; global and cross-regional team collaboration is also a plus.
