Job summary

CPP and its subsidiaries, a world-class supplier of titanium castings for the aerospace industry, seek a TIG Welder to join our Albany, Oregon team. You will weld titanium castings in an argon chamber, perform precision repairs, and ensure adherence to aerospace specifications.

This hands-on role requires titanium TIG welding experience, a formal welding program or equivalent experience, and the ability to pass a welding test. Swing shift with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Titanium TIG welding experience required.
• Completion of a formal vocational welding program or more than one year of TIG welding experience.
• Ability to pass a welding test within four weeks of starting employment.
• Ability to pass an annual eye examination.
• High school diploma or GED; candidates without diploma with relevant experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding on titanium castings inside an argon-atmosphere chamber.
• Repair castings according to established procedures and specifications.
• Use precision tools such as calipers and profile templates to complete repairs.
• Work with the team to develop and execute rework plans to bring castings back into specification.
• Load/unload castings from the welding chamber safely and efficiently.
• Maintain welding equipment and work area in a clean, safe condition.
• Follow all procedures, instructions, and safety requirements.
