Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking a Secondary Mainstream Alternative Provision Teaching Assistant to support learners at a dedicated on-site provision in Boston. The role starts ASAP, with Monday to Friday attendance and a view to permanent placement.

You'll work with pupils in mainstream or SEN settings, managing challenging behaviour and contributing to a positive learning environment. The role offers a competitive daily rate (£500-£550) and weekly PAYE via Connex.

Qualifications

• Have experience of supporting pupils in mainstream or SEN settings.
• Have experience working with challenging behaviour.
• DBS check: current on update service or willing to provide a new one.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in mainstream or SEN settings to maintain engagement and behaviour.
• Assist with daily classroom tasks and activities to support learning.
• Contribute to a safe, positive learning environment and support colleagues as needed.

Connex Education is working with a Secondary Academy, who is part of a larger trust which has schools across the whole of Lincolnshire that has it’s own purpose build Alternative Provision Site that is looking for support with their long term supply needs

About the school

The school itself has a good ofsted rating, the school also has great modern facilities on a big campus. With having its own alternative provision on site this gives great support all. I have staff currently working in the school who have been there for over a year and really enjoy the school. I have supplied the school for 4 years and always had great feedback about the staff at the school.

Assignment details

The role will be starting ASAP pending clearance working Monday to Friday. The role will be with a view to permanent employment.

• Have a current DBS on the update service or willing to provide a new one
• Being able to commute to Boston
