Job summary

AEI Consultants is seeking an experienced Field Technician to join our Land Surveying and Mapping division. You will gather field data, perform ALTA surveys, and help define property boundaries on diverse projects.

The role requires 2+ years of relevant experience, familiarity with AutoCAD, and willingness to travel within the United States. AEI offers competitive benefits and an employee-owned culture designed to support career growth.

Qualifications

2+ years of relevant field surveying experience.
Experience using AutoCAD preferred.
ALTA Surveys experience preferred.
Willingness to travel within the United States (1–2 weeks per trip).
Resourceful self-starter.
Strong verbal and written communications skills.
Knowledge of basic math and surveying measurements.
Ability to perform outdoors in varying climates.

Responsibilities

Gather field survey data using robotic surveying equipment.
Perform ALTA surveys.
Calculate legal descriptions of property boundaries.
Operate survey instruments for topographic, ALTA, boundary and construction projects.
Locate and determine land features by measuring points, elevations, lines, and angles.
