Alta Environmental & Infrastructure is seeking a motivated Surveyor Field Tech to join our Phoenix Survey team. You will support the Crew Chief with land surveying tasks, work outdoors in varying conditions, and ensure accurate field data and documentation.
Responsibilities include staking, topographical, boundary, ALTA surveys, and operation of Trimble GPS/Total Station with field software. Knowledge of plans and strong safety mindset are essential for success.

Alta E&I is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Surveyor Field Tech to join our Phoenix Survey team. As a Surveyor Field Tech, you will provide essential support to a survey Crew Chief performing land surveying tasks on a survey field crew. This position requires the ability to work outdoors, in sometimes extreme conditions, performing tasks safely and accurately while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.

LANGUAGE SKILLS-Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must possess the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS-Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as algebra, trigonometry, plane and solid geometry. Also the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY-Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
If required to work in the field, work is regularly performed for sustained periods outdoors and occasionally in hot, cold, or inclement weather.

While working in the field: Regularly walk, stand, or stoop. The employee is occasionally required to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Frequently lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 40 lbs. Use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity. Carry equipment up and down steep terrain. Walk, stand, crouch, or run on narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces. May regularly drive a field truck and occasionally operate a rugged off terrain vehicle.
Must possess a current, valid Arizona State driver’s license at time of appointment and maintained always thereafter to operate a vehicle on company business.
