Job summary

Northwest Asthma & Allergy Center is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support clinical operations at our Seattle location. You will assist with rooming patients, taking vitals, and conducting point-of-care testing related to asthma and allergy care, while maintaining a smooth patient flow.

The role requires WA CMA licensure or equivalent certification, experience with EMR/HER systems, strong communication, empathy, and multitasking abilities.

Qualifications

• Current Washington State CMA license.
• Washington state insured Medical Assistant certification or registration proof.
• Experience with EMR/HER systems (Athena/Epic/GE or similar).

Responsibilities

• Check in patients and record vitals, med history, drug allergies; enter data into EMR.
• Perform procedures with accuracy and timeliness as ordered by the provider.
• Educate patients on medications, disease processes, and self-care, documenting take-home messages in EMR.
• Manage inventory and restock supplies; maintain samples and printed materials for patients.
• Prepare exam rooms for next patient.
