Job summary

Northwest Asthma and Allergy in Seattle seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support clinical operations, room patients, and collect vitals. You will perform point-of-care testing related to asthma and allergy care while maintaining a 2:1 CMA to provider ratio.

The role involves patient education and efficient EMR documentation. Requirements include WA CMA licensure, AIDS/HIV training, CPR/First Aid, and EMR experience (Athena, Epic, GE).

Qualifications

• Current Washington State CMA license or registration.
• Completion of 7-hour AIDS/HIV training required.
• CPR/First aid for healthcare professionals required.
• Washington state insured Medical Assistant certification/registration proof.
• Experience with EMR systems (Athena, Epic, GE) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check in patients, record vitals, medication history, and allergies; enter data into EMR.
• Perform procedures as ordered by the provider in a timely manner.
• Educate patients on medications, care plans, and disease management; document instructions in EMR.
• Monitor supplies, restock, and manage exam rooms for efficient patient flow.
• Support providers to maintain a high-quality patient care environment.
