Job summary

Dow's Alkoxylation Process Technology Expertise Department is seeking a Tech Center Specialist to support Alkoxylation projects at PU and DIS plants, preferably on the U.S. Gulf Coast (TX/LA).

The role emphasizes technical troubleshooting, scaling up new products, and driving process optimization and safety improvements. Qualified candidates hold a bachelor’s in engineering or equivalent military experience, with strong project leadership and experience in alkoxylation or chemical processing;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent military experience at or above U.S. E6 ranking OR Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class PLUS 5+ years of relevant experience.
• U.S. work authorization is required; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and process troubleshooting to External Manufacturing facilities and internal Alkoxylation plants of PU and DIS, producing polyols, polyglycols, surfactants, lubricants, and fluids (industrial & excipient).
• Serve as project leader to drive implementation of initiatives such as new product introductions, asset evaluations, and feasibility studies related to process safety and capital projects.
• Lead multi-functional teams to rapidly assess and troubleshoot escalated plant technology gaps or unplanned events.
• Identify and lead value creation projects at Alkoxylation PU and DIS plants.
• Provide stakeholder updates reviewing risks and barriers to success.
• Lead feasibility studies for capacity growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with the Technology Expertise Center to communicate technical improvements to plant teams while ensuring EH&S compliance.
